So beautiful, I literally can’t even. I would die for an XJS V12.

Someone just handed me last month’s “Octane” Magazine which has a feature on the XJS.
I’d rather have a 3.6 or 4.0 with the factory manual transmission (EU only.)
I’m still on the hunt to replace the 520d. *ponders*

Good thing is, it would also die for you! Repeatedly!

You'd probably run out of money and die of starvation faster with the XJS than the F-Type.

I must say, im not a big fan of the F-Type sound,
i think its too artificial..
But this.... this sounds Glorious!!!

Well, you could die or spend 5000$ to get one... :)

Well, in all fairness, at 500$ it won’t sound like that for very long lol... It most likely won’t sound like this for long at 5000$ either though...

And if you’re willing to spend the coin, it won’t die on you. This lot do proper XJS and XJ restorations, from upgrading the entire electronics system to finding another 50-80hp in that V12.

$500 can totally get you one. Here’s one that raced in LeMons:

Isn’t that the guy who was doing headgasket swaps like a boss when they’d go?
If I hit the Powerball, I’m doing a max effort V12 XJS. Something you’d see from Troy or the Ring Brothers. I have always wanted to build one.

I’m shamelessly copying my own reply for this:

There’s one for sale near me for $950 running and driving. But I have a strict “One project car at a time” rule, and since the 944 is a never ending battle, an XJS V12 is still a few years away. It is in the cards though.

I’m trying to figure out if the V12 came from the factory with a manual, or if these guys are swapping the manual from the I6 into it.
